Privacy and cookies

This is an English translation for information. The Turkish version is the binding text.

This notice explains, under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), which personal data is processed when you use our site, for what purpose and on what legal basis.

1. Data controller

the individual operator of the İstanbul'da ne var website · E-mail: [email protected]

The site is run by an individual, not a company. The identity and address of the data controller are disclosed to competent public authorities on request and, under KVKK Article 11, to the data subject who applies, once their identity has been verified. All applications can be made to the e-mail address above.

2. In short

3. Data processed, purposes and legal bases

a) Technical logs

When you open the site, our hosting and content delivery provider briefly processes technical logs such as IP address, browser and device information, the page requested and the time of access, to deliver the page, protect the site against attacks and monitor the service. Legal basis: KVKK Art. 5/2-f (legitimate interest of the data controller) and, where required by law, Art. 5/2-ç (legal obligation; Law No. 5651).

b) Preferences stored on your device

Your dark/light mode choice and the events you add to "My plan" are stored only on your device in your browser's local storage (localStorage); they are not sent to our servers and we cannot see them. They are functional records needed for the site to work the way you want. You can remove them at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.

c) Visitor statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see, in aggregate, how many people visit which pages. It does not use cookies, does not store a persistent identifier in your browser, does not build personal profiles and does not store your IP address. We only receive aggregate figures that do not identify you, such as daily visits, page views, device type and the referring site.

d) When you write to us

If you e-mail us, your address, name and the information in your message are processed only to answer your request, correct wrong information or assess your removal request. Legal basis: KVKK Art. 5/2-c (performing the action you asked for) and Art. 5/2-f (legitimate interest). Correspondence is deleted once the request is closed and the period needed for possible legal disputes has passed.

4. Cookies

Our site does not use cookies, so no cookie consent is requested. The local storage records described above are kept only for the site to function and only on your device.

5. Transfer of data

The site uses the infrastructure of Cloudflare, Inc. for hosting and content delivery and of GitHub, Inc. for updating the site. As these companies' servers may be located abroad, the technical logs in section 3/a may be transferred abroad to provide these services (KVKK Art. 9). E-mails you send us are received and stored through Google LLC's e-mail service (Gmail), so the correspondence in section 3/d is also kept on that service's servers abroad. Otherwise your personal data is not transferred to third parties; it may only be shared in response to lawful requests from competent public authorities.

6. Content loaded from other sites and links

Event images are loaded from the source's own server; in doing so your browser technically sends your IP address to that server. Which of our pages you came from (the referrer) is not sent. When you click ticket, map, directions or source links, that site's privacy policy applies. The "Send to a friend" button only opens your device's share menu or the app you choose; we don't send anything.

7. Your rights and how to apply

Under KVKK Art. 11 you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, to request information about it; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; to know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom it is transferred; to request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate, deletion or destruction under the conditions of KVKK Art. 7 and notification of these actions to the third parties concerned; to object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis; and to claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

You can send your application by e-mail with the subject KVKK başvurusu ("KVKK application"). Please include your full name, your request and how we can reach you. Applications are answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest. If you find the answer insufficient, you can complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK).

8. Changes

This notice is updated when the way the site works or the law changes; the current text is always on this page.
